I can’t say enough good stuff about this place! If you like BBQ you can’t go wrong. The pictures speak for themselves but let me tell ya, the brisket was so dang good! My boys were already talking/planning on what they were ordering next time while they were sitting there eating.

The best dining decision I made this week, maybe all month, was taking the advice of dozens of fellow foodies and finding my way to the highly acclaimed Yellow Rose BBQ. 🍖 I knew this was going to be special when those beautifully smoky scents hit the nose as I approached from the parking lot. Like a cartoon, I was carried along towards my destination, almost floating right through the door. And there to greet me was the absolutely wonderful Megan, who embodied the nature of true Southern hospitality - made me feel right at home! She gave some outstanding advice as to what to order, and definitely didn’t disappoint as the photos will show. 🏆 Echoing the cheerful Texas-themed decor were the sunny personalities of the front of house staff, Morgan and Brian, who stopped for a few moments to chat - knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic about the establishment while humbled by the (deserved) rave reviews they’ve received. And then, there was the FOOD! And what a feast it was!! Hidden Gem in the Heart of Jacksonville with Texas Roots! I recently stumbled upon The Yellow Rose on my FYP on TikTok, and being that my mom proudly hails from Texas, I knew it would be the perfect spot for her Mother's Day lunch. We were truly in for a treat! Not only was the food remarkable, but the service was equally exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. We indulged in birria tacos, turkey tacos, the brisket sandwich, and a delicious rosebud (pulled pork stuffed jalapeño wrapped in bacon), along with Texas-style cornbread. The brisket was perfectly smoked and packed with flavor. It's clear that a lot of love and attention goes into their food. We also took home the brisket quesadilla, turkey quesadilla, and seasoned green beans. We will definitely be back! They're from Texas I can tell by the way they smoke their brisket!

I’ve been wanting to go here for quite some time so I’m glad I finally got to go! I’ve heard nothing but good things so I had to see for myself. The staff is friendly and helpful. The elote pasta salad, green beans, baked beans, and Mac and cheese are delicious. Some of the best green beans I’ve ever had! The jalapeno sausage links had a bit of heat and were cooked perfectly. The moist brisket was good and I love me a good mustard sauce. Having unlimited sauce and white bread is plus. What kept this from being a five-star place is the portions of the meat compared to price. My husband ordered the two-meat plate and it didn’t seem like more meat than my one-meat plate, just two varieties. The portions of meat should be larger, especially since lunch for two people was $50. The pulled pork was fine. We’ll definitely be going back. Seriously, get the elote pasta salad and the green beans.

If you’re looking for authentic Texas-style barbecue in Jacksonville, Yellow Rose BBQ is the real deal. Everything here is smoked low and slow the way Texas BBQ should be. The brisket is incredibly tender with a perfect smokiness, and the ribs are the kind that fall apart with every bite. The cheddar jalapeño sausage is packed with flavor. Sauces are perfection - OG, spicy and mustard. Favorite? The birria brisket tacos are next level — rich, smoky, and ridiculously good. The rosebuds are crave-worthy… jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon…smoked to literal perfection. Sides are out of this world. The banana pudding is incredible. You can tell there’s real passion behind the food here. Nothing feels rushed or mass produced — just honest, properly smoked Texas-style BBQ done right. Yellow Rose BBQ needs to be on your list. Period.
